Phyllis Dunham was the daughter of Clifford and Lillian Dunham. Mr. Dunham was director of music at State Preparatory School. She graduated from State Prep in 1927, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from C.U. in 1931. She received her master's degree in 1932, and embarked on a teaching career in Alamosa, Colo.
